Jonathan Perry

In 2002 Jonathan was a University student struggling to secure his first of three mandatory co-op placements as part of a Bachelor of Commerce Co-op program.  After a confidence-crushing and challenging job search, he was the last student in his program to secure a job.

Jonathan decided that he would not let that situation repeat itself.  He started using the resources available to him through his career services office and got much more engaged with his assigned Career Advisor.  Jonathan went from the last student to secure a work term in his first search to being one of the first in his last work term search.

In 2008 he became a Career Advisor, and since that time, he has dedicated himself to helping students avoid the mistakes he made during his first co-op job search.  He is thankful to have an opportunity to help young professionals in the same way his Career Advisor helped him.

Being a student is demanding. Determining your target career path and job searching is hard.  Through his own experiences, Jonathan has coached hundreds of students through every challenge imaginable on the job hunt.  Career Insights for Students was born to help share his knowledge and experience with students everywhere and take the guessing out of effective job search to focus time and energy on proven strategies that work for students.
